🌫️ Clearing the Air – The New PU Event

🧬 A Crisis in Levski

At the heart of Alpha 4.6 is the narrative-driven event “Clearing the Air.”
A dangerous illness is spreading through Levski, affecting residents and visitors alike.
The cause has been traced back to contaminated air filtration systems, triggering an aggressive fungal infection.

The situation escalates rapidly — and the entire ‘verse responds.

🚑 Your Role in the Event

Players are actively drawn into the crisis and can contribute in multiple ways:

  • Hauling & Logistics: Transporting medical supplies, filters, and spare parts
  • Courier Missions: Time-critical delivery of biological samples
  • Resource Gathering: Acquiring materials required for treatment and repairs
  • Combat Missions: Protecting supply convoys and eliminating hostile ships
  • Recover Cargo & VIP Ops: Retrieving stolen cargo or evacuating infected civilians

Criminal factions operating in the Nyx system attempt to exploit the crisis
through piracy, ransom schemes, and sabotage.
Players must choose whether to act as responders, defenders, or hunters.

🏁 Milestone Missions & Escalation

The event unfolds in multiple stages.
Completing large numbers of similar missions unlocks special milestone contracts, such as:

  • High-risk VIP emergency transports
  • Exclusive high-value targets from criminal factions
  • Escalating narrative missions with greater stakes

Progress is tracked via the mobiGlas journal, reinforcing the sense of consequence
and escalation throughout the event.

🧠 Why This Event Matters

Clearing the Air represents a major step forward for the Persistent Universe:

  • Multiple gameplay loops are active at once
  • Nyx and Levski are deeply integrated into ongoing narrative content
  • Events dynamically affect the PU rather than existing in isolation
  • Cooperation between players is strongly incentivized

This event is widely seen as a template for future system-wide crises and story arcs.

🏁 Community Highlight: Daymar Rally 2956

Alongside the patch excitement, the Daymar Rally 2956 once again pushed crews to their limits:

  • 510 km across Crusader’s moon Daymar
  • 754 competitors
  • Over 2,400 vehicles
  • Participants from 38 countries

An outstanding example of large-scale community-driven gameplay.
Replays are available on Twitch, with official results coming soon from ATMO Esports.
