Roadmap Roundup – October 22, 2025
Hello everyone!
Welcome to the latest Roadmap Roundup. Every two weeks, this post accompanies the roadmap update and provides insight into the reasoning behind the latest changes. Our goal is to keep you informed and transparent about the ongoing development of Star Citizen and Squadron 42.
As a reminder: the “1.0” column represents features and content planned for the release of Star Citizen 1.0 or earlier. Once a feature is completed, it moves to the corresponding release column.

⚙️ What This Means for You
- Many of these features are currently in “Tentative” status, meaning they are planned but not yet locked for release.
- The current focus areas are visual improvements, expanded PvE mechanics, and new gear and ship content.
- Wikelo’s Emporium continues to grow, adding more depth for traders and collectors.
- The addition of the AI FPS Turret promises more dynamic ground combat encounters.
- Story-driven players can look forward to the Frontier Fighters Finale and the mysterious Yormandi creature in the Onyx caves.
📅 Looking Ahead
A feature in the “1.0” column does not necessarily mean it will only arrive with the final release.
Once a feature is ready, it may appear in an earlier patch.
As always, quality over speed remains Cloud Imperium’s guiding principle.
We’re excited to continue this journey with you.
Stay tuned for the next Roadmap Roundup in two weeks!
