here’s a complete breakdown of what to expect — from the Free Fly event to special rewards and exclusive ship details.

🌌 What is the IAE?

The Intergalactic Aerospace Exposition (IAE) is the universe’s premier spaceship convention.
It gives everyone the chance to see Star Citizen’s most iconic ships and ground vehicles up close
as manufacturers showcase their latest creations across multiple expo halls.

And the best part:
Nearly 200 ships and vehicles are free to test-fly!
Whether you’re a veteran pilot or new to the ‘verse, this is your moment to take the helm of the galaxy’s most legendary rides.

📅 When Does IAE 2955 Take Place?

• Dates: November 20 – December 3, 2955
• Opening Time: November 20 at 16:00 UTC
• Free Fly: Runs simultaneously with the expo

🪐 Location: Orison, Crusader

For the first time in Star Citizen history, the IAE takes place at the Vision Center on Orison, Crusader —
one of the most breathtaking cities in the Stanton System.

🧭 How to Get There:

1. Travel to the planet Crusader.
2. New players can select Green Circle as their primary residence.
3. Quantum jump to Crusader → spline jump to Orison.
4. Land at August Dunlow Spaceport.
5. Follow the signs marked IAE / Vision Center to the expo halls.

During the event, every account receives access to a Crusader Intrepid,
allowing you to travel to Orison even if you don’t own a ship.

🛩️ Which Ships Can I Fly?

Each day features different manufacturers, giving players a fresh rotation of ships to test-fly for free.
The full schedule will be shared soon!

💡 How to Rent a Ship:

• Visit the Traveler Rental Terminals in the main expo hall.

• Select any available ship and confirm the rental.

• Some ships are rentable via terminal only, even if not displayed.

• Manufacturers rotate daily, so check back often!

• Rental Duration: 48 hours per ship

• Limit: Each ship or vehicle can be rented once per account

🏆 Best in Show 2955

Four ships that made it to the semi-finals of Ship Showdown 2955 receive exclusive Best in Show liveries:

• RSI Polaris 🥇
• Anvil Asgard
• RSI Zeus Mk II ES
• Anvil Gladiator

Rewards:

• Exclusive BIS paint and manufacturer poster
• The Polaris additionally receives a championship pennant
• All eligible players will receive these rewards automatically after the event

Important:
Only the exact Best in Show ships (not variants) qualify.
Ships must be in your web hangar at the end of the event.
Buyback or melted ships are not eligible.

⚡ Anvil F8C Lightning – Now Available!

Previously, the Anvil F8C Lightning could only be obtained by redeeming a CDF Gold License.
Starting with IAE 2955, this requirement has been removed!

• The F8C Lightning is now open for all players to pledge for.
• Limited to one per account.
• Players who redeemed a Gold License or hold Concierge status
  will receive an exclusive “Nightweaver” livery during Anvil Day.

Note: This reward is not retroactive — only players qualifying before or during IAE 2955 will receive it.

🎁 Twitch Drops & Rewards

For the first time ever in Star Citizen history, Twitch Drops are arriving!
Watch any participating streamer to earn exclusive rewards:

• Reward: Full armor set
• Requirement: Watch for a total of 4 hours during the event
• Period: November 20 – December 3
• Participation: The streamer must have Twitch Drops enabled

💰 Ships with Price Adjustments

After the IAE, several ships will receive updated prices
to reflect their latest development progress:

• MISC Hull A

• Argo RAFT
• Gatac Railen
