Happy Tuesday, y’all! We hope those of you coming off the holiday weekend had a great one.

Before we jump into the week ahead, CIG wanted to acknowledge issues many of you have been reporting in Alpha 4.8 — including problems related to contracts, the Starmap, ships, services, and more. Over the last several days, the team has been actively tracking these reports, with a number of fixes already moving through testing and validation, alongside additional hotfixes planned. Updates and rollout info will continue to be shared on Spectrum as things progress.

They also thanked everyone continuing to contribute reports and reproduction steps on the Issue Council, as that visibility helps the team identify and prioritize issues faster.

🛡️ Last week: DefenseCon 2956 — reveals, flyables & Odin hype

DefenseCon 2956 kept the momentum going with a steady stream of reveals and updates:

• Monday: The MISC Starlite hit the ’verse, opening the door to the refueling profession for a whole new crowd.
• Wednesday: The Aegis Tiburon went straight to flyable, and the community immediately started pushing it to its limits.

The debuts kept coming. This past Sunday brought the reveal of the Anvil Odin, the massive battlecruiser currently looming over Area18. The reveal sparked a ton of questions, so CIG hosted a dedicated Star Citizen Live Q&A focused entirely on the Odin — available now on YouTube.
