Hello everyone!

Every two weeks, we accompany the Roadmap update with a brief explanatory note to give you insight into the decision-making that led to any changes. This is part of an effort to make our communications more transparent, more specific, and more insightful for all of you who help to make Star Citizen and Squadron 42 possible.

Just a reminder: The 1.0 column showcases features and content planned for inclusion in or before Star Citizen 1.0. This means you may not have to wait for the 1.0 release to experience them. As features/content in the 1.0 column become ready, they will migrate left into a point patch column for release.

🔥 4.6.0

New Resource Gathering Missions

Adding an expanded list of missions to the Resource Gathering archetype. Find, gather, and deliver raw or refined mineable ores or salvageable ship pieces for a variety of corporations. Scheduled to come in a 4.6.x patch.

Status:Set to Released.


Argo MOTH

Implementing Argo’s new medium salvager: the MOTH has the tools to earn its keep, the storage for a long job, and the weaponry to work unencumbered.

Status:Set to Released.


Medical Light Armor “Chiron”

Implementing the new Medical Light Armor “Chiron”, a reward for the new 4.6 event Clearing the Air.

Status:Set to Released.


🧪 4.7 (Preview)

Claw Salamanders Faction Outfits

Adding multiple outfit variants for the Claw Salamanders gang in Nyx:

  • a complete Light Armor
  • a cape
  • a mask

Status: 🟡 Set to Tentative.


Heavy Combat Armor

Implementing heavy combat armor in the Persistent Universe.

Update: 🎨 This card received a new visual.


Light Combat Armor

Implementing a rework of a light combat armor in the Persistent Universe.

📊 Progress Tracker Updates

We updated a few deliverables in the Progress Tracker. Reminder: when progress on a deliverable is marked as complete, it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s ready for release. It may still require downstream support, transition to another team, or additional steps.


Crafting T0

Implementing the ability for players to craft various items using resources from throughout the Persistent Universe.

Change:Extended to March 27, 2026.


Inventory Rework

Implementing an improved experience with Inventory Management.

Change:Extended to March 27, 2026.


Vehicle Command Module

Introducing the concept of vehicles taking over control from other host ships. Primarily used for ships like the Drake Caterpillar or Drake Ironclad.

Change:Extended to May 29, 2026.


FPS Radar & Scanning

Introducing an improved signature system supporting much greater distances, signature dampening via environmental interference and larger signatures, plus improved scanning driven by the same signature system as Radar and Ping — available in ships, ground vehicles, and FPS.

Change:Extended to May 29, 2026.


Instancing

Introducing Instancing technology, enabling more curated gameplay content that is seamlessly integrated into the sandbox.

Change:Extended to July 31, 2026.


Ship Hangar Landing Service

Introducing the ability for larger ships to rearm, repair, and restock other ships in their hangar.
