Drake is back and running DefenseCon 2956 bigger, bolder, and more bodacious than ever. Here’s what you need to know to navigate the expo.

❓ What is DefenseCon?

When the UEE pulled Invictus back to Sol, DefenseCon didn’t wait for orders — it stepped up. The ultimate expo is here, loaded with the manufacturers you trust. Set your own rules, find your edge, and defend your corner of the black — no matter what’s thrown at you.

May 14 through May 27. Mark it.

⏰ What time does the event start?

DefenseCon starts at 16:00 UTC.

🛫 When does the Free Fly start?

The Free Fly starts on May 14, launching at the same time DefenseCon begins.

📍 Where does DefenseCon take place?

The Bevic Convention Center on Area18, ArcCorp.

🧭 How do I get to the Bevic Convention Center?

Head to ArcCorp.

• New to the ’verse? Spawn at the habitation building in Area18 and you’re already close.
• Veterans: Jump to ArcCorp, spline to Area18, and land at Riker Memorial Spaceport. Follow the signs to the Bevic Convention Center from there.

🆕 I’m a new player. Where do I get more info?

Nobody’s born knowing how to fly:

• The New Player Guide gets you up to speed
• The Welcome Hub has tutorials to keep you from hurting yourself out there
• The Guide System links you up with veterans who know the ’verse the hard way
• The Knowledge Base covers the basics so you can stop asking and start flying

🎟️ I don’t have a Game Package or a ship. How can I get to DefenseCon?

No package, no ship? No problem. DefenseCon is a Free Fly event, open to everyone.

All Free Fly accounts come with an RSI Aurora Mk II loaner to get you to ArcCorp — and once you’re there, take some military hardware for a spin and see what the ’verse has to offer. No commitment required.

🚗 How do I rent a ship?

See something you want to fly? Use the Travelers Rental terminals in the main DefenseCon hall during that ship/vehicle’s Manufacturer Day and follow the prompts.

✈️ What ships are available to fly for free?

Ships rotate throughout DefenseCon. Check the Comm-Link releasing tomorrow for the full lineup and schedule.

⏳ How long can a ship be rented?

Rentals last 48 hours.

🔢 How many ships can be rented?

Every flyable and drivable vehicle on the floor is fair game. Each one can be rented once, so choose wisely.

🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Can I invite a friend?

Bring everyone. All they need is a free account on the Play Now page.

Referral rewards:

• If they use your referral code at signup and later buy a ship, they earn +50,000 UEC and you get a referral point.
• Refer a friend during DefenseCon and you’ll earn a Drake Dragonfly with Coalfire paint.
• The referred player receives a DefenseCon T-Shirt & Hat, plus cargo pants.

🎁 Will there be more Twitch drops?

Yes — Twitch Drops are back for DefenseCon 2956.

Watch any drops-enabled Star Citizen stream for 4 hours between May 14 and May 27 to unlock an exclusive Tailwind “Murray Cup” flight suit and helmet. Make sure your Twitch and RSI accounts are linked first so the drops land correctly.

💳 Will there be Daily Warbond deals?

Yes. Every day brings a new Warbond Daily Deal, live for 24 hours only.

Finale window: May 26 at 16:00 UTC through May 27 at 20:00 UTC, with a fresh wave of Warbond deals exclusive to that timeframe.

🧾 Will there be quantity stock-limited ships?

Yes — and they go fast.

• Each stock-limited ship is capped at one per account
• Ships drop in waves to cover time zones (depending on your location, a wave may land on the next calendar day)
